No account, we don't ask for personal data

This app has no sign-in and no user accounts. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or location, and it has no way to store them.

Cookieless visitor measurement, no advertising

We use the built-in measurement tools of our hosting provider, Vercel (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights), to see how often pages are viewed and how quickly they load. These tools use no cookies, write nothing to your browser and do not track you across sites; they create no persistent identifier and no user profile.

What is measured: the address of the page you viewed, the referring address, country, device type, operating system, browser, screen size and page-loading speed values. Your IP address is not stored; it is processed only momentarily to derive the country and a daily-rotating, irreversible hash — so visitor counts are approximate and you are not recognised the next day.

The data is shown in aggregate, is not used for advertising and is not sold. There is no advertising network and no third-party advertising or tracking code in this app. Because no cookies are used, this measurement does not require a cookie consent banner.

Cookies

One cookie is set, named blang; the visitor measurement described above sets none. It stores only your chosen interface language (tr, en, ru or uk) so the app opens in that language next time. It contains no identifier and is not used for tracking. Deleting it simply returns the app to your device language.

Learning progress stays on your device

Words you mark as learned, quiz scores and your practice streak are saved only in your device's local storage. They are never sent to us or to anyone else, they carry no identifier, and deleting the app (or clearing them on the Progress page) removes them completely.

Pronunciation recordings are ordinary audio files loaded from our own server. Requesting them reveals nothing about you beyond the standard technical logs described below.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical request logs (IP address, browser identification, requested page) for security and abuse prevention. These are standard infrastructure logs, are not linked to any person by us, and are not used for profiling.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of any data relating to you, and you may object to processing. Since we hold no account data, such a request will usually be answered by confirming that nothing is stored. Write to us through the Contact page; we answer within 30 days.

Changes

If a future version adds accounts, cloud-synced progress or purchases, this page will be updated before that version is released.

Your rights and how to complain

Under the GDPR you have the following rights over your data:

• Access (GDPR Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17) and data portability (Art. 20).
• Restriction of processing (Art. 18): while you contest the accuracy of your data, if processing is unlawful, or while your objection is being assessed, your data is only stored and not otherwise used.
• Objection (Art. 21): you can object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests (security, moderation, measurement); we then stop unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.
• You can send your requests via bulgarian.vercel.app/contact; we reply within one month at the latest (GDPR Art. 12(3)).

Complaint to a supervisory authority (GDPR Art. 77): as the controller is established in Bulgaria, the lead authority is the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection — Комисия за защита на личните данни (КЗЛД), cpdp.bg. You may also complain to the data protection authority of the EU country where you live or work.

Users in Türkiye may also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board under Art. 14 of Law No. 6698 (KVKK) (www.kvkk.gov.tr).
